Privacy policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Contesta Ya! ("we") provides an AI WhatsApp assistant ("Kuti") to small businesses. This policy explains what data we handle and how we protect it. Contact us at byroncarvajal@gmail.com with any question or to exercise your rights.

Who controls the data

When we set up Kuti for a business, that business is the controller of its customers' data; we act as the service provider that processes the data on the business's behalf and under its instructions.

What data we handle

What we use it for

Where it's stored

Conversation data is stored in Supabase (EU-based infrastructure). The business may keep a backup in its own Google Drive. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep conversations for as long as needed to provide the service and, by default, for up to 90 days in our database unless the business requests otherwise. The backup in the business's Drive is controlled by the business.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed for Kuti to work: the WhatsApp API provider, Google (Gemini, Calendar, Gmail, Drive), and Supabase. Each processes the data solely to deliver its part of the service.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, and restrict or object to its processing. Email us at byroncarvajal@gmail.com and we'll handle your request.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version and its date will always be posted here.
